Update from the RI Office of the Health Insurance Commissioner on Annual PCMH Process

  • 29 Aug 2019

As part of the annual PCMH recognition process, practices seeking designation as a PCMH by OHIC should submit reports by October 15. The attached letter and FAQs outline the requirements for this year. The requirements are also posted on the OHIC website along with links to the required practice surveys and measure specifications. Important to note: this year changes were made to the Controlling High Blood Pressure measurement specifications. For this reason, OHIC will consider the submission of performance on the Controlling High Blood as "baseline" information and practices that submit their baseline information will be considered as "passing" the performance threshold. Organizations submitting reports for five or more practices may use the Excel templates (Cost Management Strategies and PCMH Measures) instead of the online surveys. Excel files may be submitted directly to cory.king@ohic.ri.gov by October 15.
