Improving Child Health in RI Quarterly Meeting

CTC-RI and PCMH Kids welcomed pediatric practices and stakeholders to the quarterly Improving Child Health in RI meeting to review ongoing projects, review telehealth updates, and Medicaid updates. 8 current PCMH Kids projects were reviewed, including the Medicaid Pediatric Healthcare Recovery Program. Reid Plimpton, MPH, from the Northeast Telehealth Resource Center, presented on telehealth in the post-public health emergency landscape. Key policy changes, preparing for the end of the federal public health emergency, and practice considerations were presented and discussed. The presentation slides can be found here.

Kristin Sousa, Medicaid Program Director, EOHHS, presented on Medicaid renewals that began on April 1. Important dates, different renewal types, patient/member communication, how patients/members can renew, and how practices can support the renewal process were reviewed. Households with children will begin the renewal process toward the end of 2023.
