Asthma Quality Improvement Initiative Launch

CTC-RI kicked off the asthma quality improvement initiative this month in collaboration with RIDOH and Tufts Health Plan. Practices selected for this initiative include Dr. Concilio in Lincoln and P.R.I.M.A, Inc. in Cumberland. Participating practices will have the opportunity to develop, implement and/or enhance a sustainable team-based structured approach to improve care of patients with asthma in line with new clinical guidelines. Both practices also will receive individualized practice facilitation support from Susan Dettling, BS, PCMH CCE, Program Manager & Practice Facilitator, and June Tourangeau, Certified Asthma Educator. Mansi James, DO, Allergy/Asthma, Providence Community Health Center, provided the didactic portion of the kickoff meeting and walked through new asthma guidelines and recommendations.
