Breakfast of Champions Meeting to Address Adult and Pediatric Asthma Guidelines

We are pleased to welcome Mansi James, DO, Board Certified Allergist, Immunologist, Providence Community Health Center (PCHC)  who will review  updates on adult and pediatric asthma guidelines. Following her presentation, Dr. James will join a panel discussion discussing creative primary care and community-based efforts to improve asthma outcomes for children:

  • Moderator: Patricia Flanagan, MD, Hasbro Children’s Hospital, & Brown Univ. Pediatrics Professor
  • Panelist: Lillian Nieves, PharmD, Director of Clinical Pharmacy Services, PCHC to review a pharmacist led project to reduce ED utilization in children with asthma
  • Panelist: Garry Bliss, Program Director, Medicaid AI, Prospect CharterCARE, to discuss community-clinical partnerships in the Road to Equity (R2E) project with the West Elmwood 02907 Health Equity Zone (HEZ) to improve outcomes in children with asthma
  • Panelist: Elizabeth McQuaid, PhD, Director of Child Psychology, Hasbro; Director of the Division of Clinical Psychology in the Department of Psychiatry and Human Behavior, Brown University to discuss a school-based asthma education program
