Rhode Island Office of the Health Insurance Commission (RI-OHIC) Releases List of OHIC Qualified RI Patient Center Medical Home Practices

  • 31 Jan 2017

The Rhode Island Office of the Health Insurance Commission (OHIC) has posted on its website its determination of primary care practices that have qualified as RI patient centered medical homes and eligible for sustainability payments.  Cory King, Principle Policy Associate, presented primary care practice attestation results at the January Practice Reporting Committee. To ensure that cost management strategy data supplied by practices are accurate and consistently reported and to inform future data collection, CTC-RI has been asked to audit approximately 30% of all OHIC-recognized PCMH practices in 2017.  The audit protocol will be developed by CTC-RI, reviewed by the Care Transformation Advisory Committee in February and approved by OHIC.  The audit will be completed by August 2017 to allow for the results of the audit to be shared with the Care Transformation Advisory Committee during its meetings in the fall of 2017.
