Update on SBIRT/CHT Grant

CTC-RI's goal is to continue to disseminate opportunities for continued learning, and promote ongoing training opportunities. The continued objective is to provide training as needed in areas such as maternal child health, opioid treatment, and community-based resources.

 

On October 4, Community Health Team members were able to participate in the "Recovery-Oriented Systems of Care and Introduction to Peer-Based Recovery Support Services Training" presented by Lisa Conlan Lewis, Executive Director of Parent Support Network of RI. Attendees were able to learn the definition and principles of recovery-oriented system of care, cover the 4 dimensions of recovery and 8 dimensions of wellness. Lisa also introduced peer-based recovery support services and the unique role of Certified Peer Recovery Specialists. Additionally, she presented strategies for building an effective recovery-oriented system of care and delivery of peer-based recovery support services.
