Sharing Population Health Management Insight with Brown Medical Students

  • 12 Dec 2019

On November 21, CTC-RI's Dr. Pano Yeracaris gave a lecture entitled, "Population Health Management; high need/high cost patients" to the first year Alpert Brown Medical School students for their Health Systems Science course. Dr. Yeracaris provided an overview of population health, patient social needs and social determinants of health, helping to shed light on the way CTC-RI's work is woven into the Rhode Island health care system. He also spoke about value-based payments and accountable care organizations and described progress in Rhode Island in the comprehensive primary care model. The lecture was well received and generated a lot of interest from the students.
